Le Lac Vert

Low-risk DoloPaws route-audited

We're working on adding photos of this trail.

A family loop from Plagne Centre at 2,000 m in the Tarentaise: down through the larches, across a stream, and up to the little Lac Vert with its Mont Blanc view, orientation table and picnic meadows, before returning past Plagne Aime 2000 and the Jean-Luc Cretier slalom slope. An official La Plagne resort circuit, rated green and easy; the tourist office lists dogs as welcome.

Good to know

No leash rule is published for this loop, but keep one handy: several stretches follow or cross the resort road, and the lake meadow fills with picnics and barbecues in season, so keep dogs out of the water (swimming is banned anyway). The path out of the village drops very steeply for about ten minutes; the road variant avoids it and suits all-terrain strollers. No fountains are mapped, so carry water; the stream crossing at the bottom is the natural drink stop. The tourist office quotes 3.4 km, while our mapped route measures 4.5 km with all its twists. Officially signposted daily from early July to late August, and the Telemetro lift can shortcut Aime 2000 back to the village.
